She has always admired the values that rodeo represents, including hard work, dedication, respect, and perseverance. She cares deeply for her community and hopes to be a positive role model for younger generations, inspiring them to work hard, stay confident and take pride it traditions of rodeo and agriculture. To Marlena, being a rodeo queen is about more than wearing the crown, it is about showing leadership, kindness, and promoting rodeo culture.

Kyra Brown is 16 years old from Lodi. She has been riding for about 3 years and runs barrels on her horse Ernie. Kyra’s hobbies include floral arrangements, music, and FFA. After high school, she hopes to go to cosmetology school. Kyra wants to be the 2026 Amador County Fair Rodeo Queen because all her cousins have been either involved with rodeo or a Rodeo Queen. Amador is her favorite rodeo and it’s a family tradition. Kyra had so much fun doing the La Grange Rodeo Queen pageant so she wanted to move to a bigger title. She met so many people and learned so many things from La Grange. The wonderful girls she met showed her what rodeo is like with friends and helped her through the best and the worst. It made her realize that she should be more out there and helping the community. She is super excited to learn more with the Amador contest.

Hailey Petersen is 16 years old from Ripon. She began riding horses about 5 years ago and in those 5 years, she has done many events including the Spurs N Lace drill team, gymkhanas, barrel races, and trail rides. She was also the San Joaquin County Horseman’s Association Jr. Princess and Jr. Queen as well as competed for the La Grange Rodeo Queen title. Her interests include FFA, flag football, camping, reading and swimming. Hailey aspires to be elected as her FFA Chapter President and wants to eventually attend college for agribusiness and ag communications. Hailey wants to be the 2026 Amador County Fair Rodeo Queen because she would like to promote all things rodeo, agriculture, and horsemanship. She wants to promote the western way of life and values and share this lifestyle to help keep rodeo and agriculture alive. As a contestant, Hailey cares deeply about being an advocate. Whether that’s for Amador County, the rodeo, CCPRA, or the community. She has always looked up to rodeo queens and becoming the Amador County Fair Rodeo Queen would allow her to have a meaningful platform to connect with and serve her community.
