| It is the policy of the Board of Directors of the Amador County Fair to allow prior participants the first opportunity of renting the window space. Contracts to last years’ participants are mailed out in January and are due back by March 1st. As window spaces become available, Fair Management will review the new applications to fill vacancies. Upon review, new applicants will be notified of their acceptance or position on our waiting list. |

| Windows in Pokerville Hall are 7’ 9½ “ x 6’ 9¼ “ x 2’ 1” in dimension. The remaining windows are displayed by the front entrance to the Main Exhibit Building and are 10’ 1” x 8’ x 3’ 3½ “ in dimension. Fees are a $125.00 per window. There are door(s) that give accessibility for decorating. **Windows may be started on Monday, June 25, 2008 (8 am to 5 pm )& must be completed by Monday, July 14, 2008. All windows must be dismantled & debris cleaned up by Friday, August 1, 2008. The Fairgrounds will be closed Wednesday, July 30th. (There will be certain days the building will not be available for access to the windows. June 30, July 1 & 2 and July 4, 5, 6th.) **Please share this information with your window artists! |

| Judging is split into two categories: Commercial & Non-Commercial windows. The criteria for commercial windows is based on the following: Exhibit Theme, Promotional Value as related to product and/or business, Attractiveness, & Decoration and Arrangement. For Non-Commercial displays, the criteria is based upon: Exhibit Theme, Attractiveness, & Decoration and Arrangement. The fair strongly encourages participants to incorporate the fair theme into the windows. |

| Electrical plugs can be found in the windows. Overhead lighting is also provided. If you have excessive electrical needs, please contact the Fair Office prior to submission of this Application. Two (2 small) padlocks can be rented for $10.00 from the Fair Office or you may provide your own locks to secure your window. The State of California, the 26th D.A.A. - Amador County Fair, their agents, directors, officers, servants, and employees are not responsible for any injuries or any damage/theft from or to the windows and the displays. |

| If you would like to be a part of the 2008 Amador County Fair, please fill out the enclosed Application, indicate which classification is needed and return it as soon as possible. Send NO money with this application. Cancellation Policy: 60 days prior to fair – all but $50; 30 days prior to fair – all but $100; 10 days or less – no refund, unless contract is filled & $50 would be the retainer. |
